Departments and programs may utilize GitHub Organizations as centralized workspaces for collaborative research and instruction. While users access the platform via personal accounts, they collaborate by affiliating with a shared Organization.
GitHub Organizations are managed by designated Owners who can invite users, assign roles, and modify permissions within the organization.
There is no cost for a Github account or organization through a grant by Microsoft.
UH Faculty and Staff may submit their request for a GitHub Organization using the Request GitHub Organization (link) button on the right.
