- Academic course content migration requests must be submitted by the teaching faculty (instructor of record for the course).
- The following must be done before migration can occur
- A CRN must be assigned to the teaching faculty in Banner
- If the teaching faculty is not the owner of the Laulima course content then
- The owner must add the teaching instructor "faculty access" to the Laulima course site.
- The owner must email uhdl@hawaii.edu confirming their approval to allow the teaching faculty permission to use their Laulima course content.
- Non-academic and Non-credit course content migration requests must be submitted by a current UH Faculty or UH Staff.
- Lamakū is inappropriate for disseminating information or for document and repository use (such as file storage/transfer, committee work, research sites, meeting notes, accessing forms, dissemination of information, etc.). Google drive storage will serve this purpose, or Drop Box if there is sensitive data.
- Appropriate uses of the non-academic site for collaboration should utilize Lamakū "activities" such as Discussions, Polls, Assignments, Quizzes, in some capacity. The LMS retention practice standard operating procedures state the limitation of access to Laulima and Lamakū sites for a specified period of time.
- We are accepting migration requests of Laulima content created for terms 2007 – Fall 2014 (which are scheduled for deletion in December 2025). All requests for migration must comply with the following guidelines that can be found on the Migration Timeline webpage.
