When Viewing or Editing SCACRSE, this Warning Appears: Changes have saved successfully

Explains how to find the effective term for a course in SCACRSE and make edits. Also explains why you may see a warning saying Changes have saved successfully

When viewing a course in SCACRSE, you may see "*Warning* The subject, course, term and course alias combination does not exist. Add or update course alias as needed" as shown below.

This is a warning message, not an error message. If you are only viewing the course, you can ignore this message. If you need to make changes to the course, you will need to follow the steps below to open the course in its effective term (in the screenshot below, it is highlighted in orange and is term 201740).

SCACRSE Warning

Step 1. Navigate to SCACRSE admin page, and enter the Subject and Course. Click on the ellipsis next to Term block

Step 2. Click on View Existing Courses

Step 3. In Criteria, type in the course number. For our example, it's 3331.

Step 4. This will give you a list of all the Effective Term Codes for this Subject/Course.

Step 5. Highlight the Effective Term Code you would like to make changes to and click the OK button.

Step 6. Click on the Go button, or press [Ctrl] + [Page Down]

Step 7. You are now in the admin page for the Subject/Course for the Effective Term. You may make your changes here which will be effective From Term (e.g. 201740) to To Term (e.g. 999999).

Step 8. Make your changes. Press Save button or [F10]

Step 9. Changes have saved successfully​​​​​​​!
