Configuring on Windows Device
If an institution's campus is a member of eduroam, you should be able to get on that campus' network using your UH credentials. Here's how to enable your Windows device:
If you have previously connected to eduroam and are setting this up for your UH account, go to your wireless settings and
forget the eduroam network before beginning.
- Click on eduroam and select Forget.
- Select Wi-Fi on the menu on the left side, then select Manage known networks.
- Go to Settings and select Network & internet.
-
On your device, use your web browser to visit the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (link) and click on Click here to download your eduroam installer.
- An Organisation popup will appear, click on the University of Hawaii button. If the button is not found, enter Hawaii into the search box to find and select it.
- On eduroam's University of Hawaii page, click on eduroam to get the installer
(Note: This universal site will automatically select the correct product for most devices and operating systems.)
- Depending on your browser, a popup may alert you asking for confirmation of the download. Accept to allow. Windows users may need to launch the installer after the download is complete.
- Once you launch the installer, follow the instructions to configure your profile. During the installation process, you will be prompted to enter a Username and Password. Enter your UH email address in its entirety (e.g. [username]@hawaii.edu) and your UH password.
- Once the installation is completed, your device is set up to use eduroam. Now when you visit a participating campus, simply go to your Wi-Fi settings and select eduroam from the list of available networks.
