UH Wireless - How to Connect to UH Network on Windows

Overview

These instructions are for connecting to the broadcasted wireless SSID across UH Campuses when using Windows.

Connecting to UH Wireless Network

  1. Press the Windows key + I key to open the Settings. Or use the Search Bar in the bottom Taskbar and search for Settings.
  2. Once you are in the Settings application, select the Network & internet tab on the left. 
  3. Select the Wi-Fi section on the right. 
  4. Turn Wi-Fi to On if necessary, and click on Show available networks. 
  5. You will then see all available networks. Select your campus' UH network from the list of available networks
  6. Check Connect automatically, if desired, then click the Connect button. Windows will show its progress as it attempts to connect to the wireless network.
  7. If you have successfully connected, it will say Connected, open underneath the UH network. 
  8. Once connected, launch a web browser, like Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox, to log in to the wireless network.
  9. The Wireless Authentication window will pop up and require your UH Username and Password. Once logged in, it should display the text "Success."
  10. You should now be able to close the window and browse the Web.
